Suggested wear time is 2 to 4 hours per session, with 4 hours to maximize recovery. Recommended usage will optimize recovery and get you ready faster for your next training session, game, or race.

Post-workout. You can use them on the coach or during flights. They are ideal for when you are sitting for long periods of time.

No, this is a post-workout recovery product. However, as firefly is a portable device, it can be used when walking, stretching or on-the-go.

Knee Straps keep FireFly devices comfortably and securely in place whether you are resting or in motion. Additionally, as the gel-based backing on FireFly devices may become less adhesive after multiple uses, the knee strap will help to ensure proper stimulation from the device.

When used as recommended, the device has an estimated battery life of 30 hours. Each firefly device provides 6-12 recovery sessions, depending on the length of each recovery session (suggested 2-4 hours).

Using the FireFly device should not be painful when used at the correct level. However, you will feel muscles in the lower leg contract every second, which causes your foot to twitch (FireFly flutter). It may take a few moments to adjust to this sensation, but this movement is critical to increasing blood flow and recovery. If the sensation is too strong, you can decrease the level.

The T2 is a new and improved version of the original firefly device. It is more intuitive to use, more comfortable to wear with a longer, more pliable strap, and has a more consistent battery life.

Individuals with pacemakers and recently diagnosed DVT should not use firefly. See the instructions that accompany the device for a full list of contraindications, warnings and precautions.

The firefly device is reusable and disposable after the life of the battery. The battery can be removed and recycled like any household battery.

There is no detrimental effect to sleeping with the devices on. However, as quality sleep is essential for optimal recovery, if the devices are disruptive to your sleep, you should lower the settings or turn off the devices completely.

The device is specifically meant to be applied on the peroneal nerve to increase blood flow from the lower extremities to the heart (systemic blood flow). FireFly increases lower extremity microcirculatory blood flow by 400%. We have not researched our technology on other nerves in the body to increase blood flow.

The FireFly is a modified NMES signal that stimulates a nerve instead of a muscle. firefly is not a muscle stim or TENS unit. By stimulating the peroneal nerve specifically, firefly causes muscles to pump and therefore increase blood flow. Stimulating a muscle for extended periods of time can cause muscle fatigue. The device safely avoids muscle fatigue by stimulating a nerve.

At the correct level, you should see a discernible outward movement of the foot (the firefly "flutter"). If you only see muscle twitches or movement in the lower leg and not the foot, then you should increase the level by pressing the (+) button or adjust the placement of the device.
