The Normatec Premier - How Does It Compare To Others

In the world of sports and fitness, recovery has become just as crucial as training itself. Athletes and fitness enthusiasts are always on the lookout for innovative tools to enhance their recovery processes. Enter the Normatec Premier, a game-changer in the realm of dynamic compression therapy.

The advancement in technology over recent years has sky rocketed - making recovery even easier for the modern day athlete. Compression boots have been a staple bit of kit for elite athletes - increasing blood flow, assisting with the removal of lymphs and simply giving a massage to your legs. Using compression boots for roughly 30 minutes at a time whilst sat on your sofa, has never been so easy. Yet, never has it been so effective.

So what is the fuss about? Surely this is something of the same, right?

We’ve finally managed to get our hands on the Normatec ‘Premier’ (known as the Elite in the US). Having now tested the Normatec against its former models to see whether it really is all worth the hype! Whether you’re new to compression recovery or are simply looking at upgrading your current boots, this thorough review will give you the answers you need.

Hyperice Normatec Premier Redefines Recovery with Wireless Compression Tech

Features:

Customizable Settings: With the Premier model, you can tailor your recovery sessions to your personal needs. The device offers multiple intensity levels, allowing you to adjust the pressure based on your comfort and recovery goals.

Multiple Treatment Zones: Unlike some models that provide a simple sequential massage, the Normatec Premier provides targeted treatment for various areas. You can simply turn areas of the leg ‘off’ via the app, or increase pressures in certain areas. E.G - if you have a bad foot, you can simply turn off Section 1 on the boots. This versatility ensures comprehensive recovery for all athletes, regardless of their sport.

User-Friendly Interface: The sleek design and intuitive controls make it easy to navigate through different settings. Whether you’re a tech-savvy athlete or a beginner, you’ll appreciate how straightforward it is to operate.

Portable Design: The Normatec Elite is designed for easy transport, allowing you to take your recovery routine on the go—whether at home, the gym, or even on the road for competitions.

If you are familiar with the previous Normatec’s, you will instantly notice the main difference.

Hyperice have decided to remove the bulky control unit, along with the tangling hose. In fact, they’ve integrated the air compressor into the boots themselves, making them entirely wireless. Say goodbye to plugging your attachments together, and hello to slipping the boots on and pressing go.

Compared to the NT3:

In comparison to the Normatec 3, the boots still offer the same performance. Levels 1-7, high pressures of up to 110mmHg and full control via the app. As well as this, the boots feature ‘hypersynch technology’, which links both boots up (so that they are both working at the same time, in the same areas of the leg). That’s pretty smart!

When sat at home using the boots, it’s easy to get the laptop out and start doing ‘life admin’ alongside your recovery. This is now extremely easy, as the control systems have been positioned facing outwards, so there is perfect space for your laptop on your legs. It seems like Hyperice have really taken into consideration each tiny detail with these, which is what makes them one of the best sets of boots on the market.

With regards to other technical specifications, the Normatec Premier offers a 4 hour battery life - longer than the NT3. As well as universal charging (USB-C), so there is no need to be buying separate chargers for these!

Price wise, Normatec Premier is priced at £999, compared to the NT3 at £899. Is it worth the extra £100? If you are a frequent traveller and would like the latest technology, then its a no brainer. Though, it is also important to note that if you own a Normatec already and have other attachments (hips or arms), you cannot use these with the new Normatec Premier.

Conclusion:

Both the Normatec 3 and Normatec Premier offer effective recovery solutions, but your choice should depend on your specific needs and budget. If you’re looking for a straightforward, effective option, the Normatec 3 is an excellent choice. On the other hand, if you want the latest technology with more customization and advanced features, the Normatec Premier is worth the investment.
